WOSHKAL'S PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

This article is about the Saidercrayan Republic Day on August 26.

Saidercray is ninety years old! As every year, the Republic Day has reminded the nation of its union on August 26, 1916. Apart from numerous festivities (Saidercray Today reported), the day's program was also distinguished by the speech of the day, held by President Ian Woshkal and intently awaited by everyone who is interested in the government's plans for the next year.

Yet first of all, Woshkal applied himself to the jubilee of the nation. He praised the performances of all those who have made Saidercray become what it is today, with which he did "not only mean the politicians, the sportsmen, the artists and whoever represents Saidercray." Rather than them, the unknown, ordinary people had to be praised, for without them, Saidercray would be nothing. "You are a part of Saidercray, and Saidercray is you. You are the blood in our good mother's [a reference to the anthem] venes, you keep her what she is - still young, still vivid, still agile. You are not just the unknown heroes, but the real heroes - of this day and of every day."

After "ninety great years", the Saidercrayan people and the governemt had the task to continue the country's positive development. "We have a past worthy to be remembered, and we want to have a future worthy to be looked forward to." By this, Woshkal lead over to the second part of the speech. Saidercray continued to be a land of peace, justice and independence. Means and measures to achieve this aim were:

Extension and consolidation of diplomatic contacts to other states of the IDU
"An isolated Saidercray can't change anything but itself. Friendship with other states, co-operation with other states, that's the source of the ability to change more than ourselves, and the source of the ability to reflect on our ideas, to recognize their faults, to improve our ideas and to include other opinions and needs into our actions."
Woshkal looks forward to the visit of Gnejs's Minister of Foreign Affairs and reported that the government currently checks on the abilities and opportunities to participate in the IDU Sister City program and to play an active role in the UN.

An anti-capitalist, state-guided economy
"Capitalism is built upon greed and selfishness. If there are two mentalities that are absolutely incompatible to any yearning for any peace at any time and any place, then these mentalities. Community defeats isolation, solidarity defeats antagonism, peace defeats war and love defeats hate. Capitalism calls this a row of lies, we call it eternal truths and the way to a paradise on earth."
Woshkal held out a prospect of the realization of an diminished version of the SPS's tax model "Give and get back" (Saidercray Today reported). Nevertheless, the tax rate will probably not reach "75 plus 25", so that not all money will be affected by the new tax system.
